CRAFTED FOR COMFORT
At OneFortyThree, every piece of furniture is crafted with comfort and stability as top priorities. Many of our designs incorporate moulded plywood shapes, a somewhat lost art that we've perfected over years of meticulous craftsmanship. This technique allows us to create minimal and functional pieces, with each part shaped to fit seamlessly. Our furniture features welded steel bases, natural wood moulded plywood seats, and premium Pendleton and leather fabrics—ensuring both style and durability.

Using our own forms and machines, we press and mould plywood parts right here in our shop. One of the trickiest processes in wood-working, our obsession lead us to becoming experts. This technique has helped us solve many problems in designing our furniture. By allowing us to produce sleek and minimal designs that are also strong, plywood moulding has helped define our style.
The chair that started it all
In 2012, we successfully moulded our first plywood chair—a rocking chair that a friend suggested we name after one of us, thus christening it the Roxy chair. Featuring a single moulded plywood shape for the seat and armrests, and a separate backrest curved for comfort and support, the Roxy chair became an instant hit. We started making and selling it on Etsy, and we’ve been busy ever since.
