My mom wanted a floor lamp, so I made her one for mother's day. My uncle gave me a bunch of sheets of metal that someone was throwing away so I made the lamp shade out of a piece. I know it's kind of boxy, but it was my first time bending and welding sheet metal like that. The rest of the lamp is made out of steel tubing and rod and solid steel balls for the feet. I'll be using these spheres alot more now that I've found them!
There's a toggle switch on top and a twist tab; threaded into a nut, welded to the tubing for raising and lowering the top half of the lamp.
